J. Jarvis - "What Would Google Do". (Mp3 english audio-book)

Jeff Jarvis | ISBN-10: 0061709719 | 2009 | English | MP3 (192 kb/s) | 747 Mb

From Booklist
Jarvis, columnist and blogger about media, presents his ideas for surviving and prospering in the Internet age, with its new set of rules for emerging technologies as well as industries such as retail, manufacturing, and service. We learn that customers are now in charge, people anywhere can find each other and join forces to support a companys efforts or oppose them, life and business are more public, conversation has replaced marketing, and openness is the key to success. Jarvis other laws include being a platform (help users create products, businesses, communities, and networks of their own); hand over control to anyone; middlemen are doomed; and your worst customer is your best friend, and your best customer is your partner. Jarvis offers thought-provoking observations and valuable examples for individuals and businesses seeking to fully participate in our Internet culture and maximize the opportunities it offers. It is unclear what role Google played, if any, in the preparation of this book, which provides excellent advertising for the company. --Mary Whaley

David Copperfield - by Charl. Dickens (Mp3 audiobook)

Charles Dickens | ISBN-10: 0415275423 | 2004 | English | MP3 (64 kb/s) | 999 Mb

Dickens' eighth novel, is a thinly disguised autobiography with many of the story lines mirroring Dickens' own life. Dickens' friend and first biographer, John Forster, wrote that "Dickens never stood so high in reputation as at the completion of Copperfield", and that in the novel Dickens had cast the suspicion "that underneath the fiction lay something of the author's life".

In telling the story of the child David, Dickens displays the unique ability to make the reader see through the eyes of the child, capturing the very essence of childhood.

David Copperfield has been filmed on several occasions:
* 2000, directed by Peter Medak
* David Copperfield (2006), play adaptation. Shown in theatres.
* 2010, currently under production

Read by Frederick Davidson.
